Bilingual, nurse-led overdose prevention education and naloxone training for schools, community organizations, and families across Los Angeles.
Los Angeles County is in the middle of an unprecedented overdose crisis. Fentanyl-involved overdose deaths have risen sharply across all age groups — and disproportionately impact Black, Latine, and youth communities.
Our families deserve more than fear-based messaging. They deserve clear, culturally responsive, bilingual education that empowers them to recognize an overdose, respond with naloxone, and save lives.
Salud Wellness brings nurse-led, evidence-based overdose prevention training directly into the schools, churches, community centers, and family spaces where it's needed most.
Hands-on training for school staff, parents, students, faith leaders, and community members. Participants learn to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, administer naloxone safely, and respond with confidence in an emergency. Bilingual delivery in English and Spanish. Naloxone provided where eligible.
Age-appropriate, evidence-based fentanyl education for middle schools, high schools, and parent communities. Programming addresses the realities of today's drug supply, recognizes the lived experiences of young people, and equips students and families with life-saving knowledge — without shame or scare tactics.
Professional development trainings for teachers, school nurses, counselors, social workers, community health workers, and frontline staff. Topics include the harm reduction framework, overdose response, stigma reduction, and how to support students and clients impacted by substance use.
On-site harm reduction education and resource tables at community events, health fairs, churches, and family-serving organizations. Includes overdose prevention materials, fentanyl test strip information where applicable, and warm referrals to local treatment and support services.
Talleres bilingües para padres y familias on overdose prevention, communicating with teens about substance use, and recognizing warning signs. Designed in partnership with the cultural and linguistic strengths of Latine families.
Tailored harm reduction programming for school districts, government agencies, faith communities, and community-based organizations. We work with you to design education and engagement that meets your community where they are.
